Description W3842 WINCHESTER MODEL 1895 TAKE DOWN RIFLE IN CALIBER 405; 24 inch tapered round barrel chambered in the desirable 405 WCF caliber with a bright shiny excellent bore. Sights include a Lyman beaded blade front and a 4 leaf Express rear. Barrel retains about 95% bright blue. The receiver has flaked on one side and is a plum/ brown. The opposite side has about 25% blue with some plum. English proof marks are present on the bolt, receiver and barrel. Straight grip walnut stock is in excellent condition with a good amount of varnish remaining and a steel shotgun style buttplate. Hard to find in a take down. Crisp action. Should make for a great shooter. Made in 1912. MODERN $ 7,350.
