Description W1297 WINCHESTER MODEL 1892 RIFLE IN 38 WCF [M]; 24 inch round barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a very good shiny bore. Sights include a German silver blade front and sporting rear. Barrel is mostly a plum/brown patina with traces of blue along the protected areas. Special order half length magazine. Receiver is a brown/gray with traces of blue in the protected areas. Hammer and lever look about the same as the frame. Smooth crisp action. Walnut stocks show some use. Buttstock has some indentations as well as a couple of small cracks on the left side wrist. Forearm is in good overall condition. Crescent rifle style buttplate. Should make a good shooter.
