Description C344 COLT THIRD MODEL DERRINGER IN CALIBER 41 RF; These 3rd Model derringers were known as the Colt Thuer after a patented design by F. Alexander Theur in 1870 and they replaced the No.1 and No.2 derringers. It has a 2-1/2 inch barrel that pivots to the side for loading and a spur trigger. Overall nickel finish has flaked leaving half or less. Walnut grips are in good condition. The marking on the top is “COLT”. Mechanics are good. There was about 45,000 of these made and they discontinued production in 1912. No doubt they became the most popular of the Colt derringer pistols. ANTIQUE $ 795.
